Vaibhav Ganesh

Ganesh Ji—also known as Ganesha or Ganapati—is the elephant-headed Hindu god revered as the remover of obstacles and the deity of new beginnings, wisdom, and prosperity. The name “Ganesha” signifies both “Lord of the People” and “Leader of the Ganas (attendants of Shiva).” Often depicted with a pot-bellied form and an elephant head, he carries sweets, especially modak, symbolizing ultimate bliss, and rides a mouse, representing his ability to transcend barriers. Worship of Ganesha traditionally precedes the start of any important ritual, venture, or performance and is celebrated widely during Ganesh Chaturthi—a 10-day festival marked by installation of his idols, devotional offerings, and final immersion of the clay idols in water bodies. His imagery and lore point to profound spiritual truths: the balance of discipline and freedom (symbolized by his mis in hands), the treasure of knowledge, and the embrace of life’s challenges with clarity and grace.

At Sanatan Dharam Bhawan, Artarmon, we feel truly blessed to have the divine presence of Ganesha’s Murti in our temple. This sacred achievement was made possible by the generous families who came forward to donate the Murti, sponsor Murti Seva, and contribute towards various offerings for the temple.

🙏 We express our heartfelt gratitude to each family for their devotion and seva. Your contribution ensures that our temple continues to flourish as a center of spirituality, culture, and community for generations to come. 🌸🚩
